Bought a used car in Jan. 2004 at which time I paid $1495. for a GM 24 month extended warranty which covers parts and labor on engines, transmission, fuel systema & front/rear wheel drives.

The transmission went out on the car and Gm refused to cover due to misuse they claim was caused by rocks and mud in shifter linkage. My son, the car owner works at a gravel pit.

While searching through our paperwork for the info. on the Gm protection plan which was listing on the purchase agreement, I realized we had never received a copy of the warranty. This was now 20 months into the 24 month contract. I then called Gm to inform them that I had never received a copy of my warranty and would they overnite one to me. They refused. 8 days later it came. They insist one was mailed to me 5 days after I bought it, I never received anything from them. Whan I made phone calls and wrote letters concerning my claim, I was treated with rude indifference. They offered to refund $140. which was the pro-ration of the remainder of my contract, oh and they will waive the $50. cancellation fee. Whoopee! I'm still out $1300. for nothing. Don't waste your money on a GM Extended Warranty!
