GMAC did not let me pay anything after my first late payment then I could not get a modification until I was in Foreclosure then I had to wait for them to process my Modification. Of course all the time they were adding to my principal I am disabled am having hardship issues and followed all the rules, I have a Fannie-Mae loan and am sure I meet all the requirements for a modification under the Obama act but of course they have decided I do not qualify. They don't have to give me a specific reason it is just what they have decided. We all know GM and GMAC are the same company. Shame on them for making a fool out of our President and stealing our tax money. Think about how many people are getting screwed worse than I am and how much money GM is going to make from this mess. The total they have added to my loan is 26,569.39 in six months, forget making it more affordable or lowering my principal to the current market value. Did anyone really think that unless this was a law that they would actually do the right thing? President Obama's plan is only a suggestion and GMAC is going to clean up and spit in our faces. I have to sign because GMAC has given me three business days to decide. I have been in modification for four months and my sale date is in two weeks. How convenient that time ran out for me. If you are in Modification do not let one day slip away or let them tell you everything is going to be O.K. they are just placating you till you do not have any other choice but to take their "offer". This is indentured servitude if I ever saw it.
