On October 14, 2010 GMAC Mortgage co sold our home to the Bank of New York. This after two yrs of fighting them with the proof that we were not behind on our payments and with the proof that the bankruptcy court had court $17,000 to them over a three yr period on a $29,000 mortgage. GMAC never recognized any payments and then wanted us to enter a loan modification for over $42,000. We had a lawyer, but he say's he does not have the time to take on GMAC. This after he took our money.

We are now renting a home that is twice the price of our mortgage and i would like to know if there is a law firm out there that will take on GMAC. We have every canceled check, all the original bankruptcy papers in which we were discharged , and all communications from GMAC. We cannot be the only family who had their home ripped from them this way. We cannot pay the lawyer to take this on but if he/she wins then they could have some of proceeds.

update to our story. our home set's vacant with a forsale sign in front it. i contacted our attorney general who said that since they had foreclosed on us, there was nothing he could do and suggested we hire a real estate lawyer. we tried. no one here will take on gmac. we were told that the original attorney should have filed a lawsuit before the foreclosure. so we have been steemedrolled and now have no recourse. we did however find out from the attorney we tried to hire for the lawsuit that the balance on our home was $12,000. i hope gmac is happy now.
