GO DOERS ripoff Washington District of Columbia
Well, I must admit that I am saddened by myself for falling for this sob story.
I was out playing w/ my son and a young lady came up and gave me this story about having a 3 wk old and how this program was helping her stay off welfare, blah...blah...blah. I bought it (my mom was a single mother and I remember the tuff times).
I gave her a check for $60.00 for a subscription to Reader's Digest to be donated to the Women's Shelter. As I was writing the check a van w/ tinted windows is coming down the street. She tells me that's her supervisor. She then pulls out a nextel phone/walkie talkie and tells him where she's at. She told me to write the invoice number on my check in the memo section along with Reader's Digest. I also wrote for the women's shelter and she said "oh don't write too much because they'll deduct points from me for that". OK, I go into the house and google the company and find out, RIP-0FF! I immediately call the bank and cancel the check. I'm just worried b/c they have my info (at least some of it) now.
Don't fall for it! Don't be caught off guard!
