Go-Optic.com, Go-Optic.com, AKA EGo-Optic.com, Eye Trends USA, Inc. They cancelled order then charged cancellation fee Wilmington Delaware
I placed an order at the web site they charged my credit card and a week later said they canceling the order because they couldn't verify my prescription. I tried to call them, their customer service is only open for 6 hours per day and I was unable to get through. During their stated business hours, the line was not busy no one answered the telephone.
I responded to the email, asking them to please recontact my eye doctor but heard nothing back for several hours. In the interim, I found another supplier and placed an order. Go-Optic then sent an email saying they were going to go ahead and process my order... I immediately replied that I had already found another supplier but they decided to charge me a cancellation fee. We went back and forth with several emails and finally I just said I would dispute the charge with American Express. According to AMEX, they were within their rights because they reinstated the order after originally canceling it. Okay, Go-Optic maybe within their rights but they obviously just wanted to make a quick $30.
This is a ripoff. There is no way that they could have incurred any costs in preparing my lenses because there was a short amount of time (a couple of hours) between the time they first canceled the order and I found another supplier who was able to process the order without an issue.
I hope their customer service management does a cost benefit analysis of whether the lousy $30 cancellation charge is worth the ill will they have created.
My advice is find another supplier, these folks are not customer friendly.
