GOAT.com Order Was Cancelled w/out Explanation; Item Available on Website for Escalated Price - SCAM

I ordered a pair of sneakers for my teenage son for Christmas.  Less than a week later I received the following email:

Hey @XXXXX,


We regret to inform you that the seller canceled your order #xxxxxxxx for the XXXXXXXXXX.

A warning was sent to the seller.

$XXX.XX has been refunded to your XXXXXXXXXXX. Please allow 2-3 business days for the banks to process the funds.

We're sorry these didn't work out. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at help@goat.com.

Oddly enough, I was able to find the same, hard-to-find sneakers on their website at a slightly=escalated price.  Seems shady to me.  If it is the seller, GOAT should have policies in place that ban this type of activity altogether.  "Warning" the seller doesn't really cut it.

I doesn't surprise me to find so many consumers questioning the legitimacy of goat.com.
