These GoDaddy ripoffs offered what was promoted as "Lifetime Gift Card" for what was insinuated to be their own products (discounts for services and products I would be purchasing anyway), for which they charged $9.99. They sent an invoice for $9.99, but no card, no activation information, nothing.

When I finally called their help line and wasted thirty minutes while the "billing representative" tried to find out what this product was, it turns out this is nothing more that a way for third party losers (Sears, HP, etc). to SPAM you with their crap products - nothing to do with network service, a bunch of supposed "deals" you can beat anywhere in town or on the 'Net. In other words, they charge you $10 for the "gift" card, then sell your personal information to some bankrupt retailer like Sears so those retailers can send you the same SPAM that now goes to your junk e-mail. It's not a gift card, it's not anything  - just a pure scam to rip off current GoDaddy account holders. I requested my money back, to which the "billing representative" (sales shill) said, and I quote, "it is your responsibility because you bought online" (listen to the tape). In other words, because they used my relationship them as an existing customer to rip me off for this scam on their online website, they had gotten away with it and there's nothing I can do with it. We'll see about that.

In the meantime, I had the pleasure of calling her a "g*dd*mn f*cking c*nt" (a Mel Gibson quote), and that was as accurate a description as there could possibly be for that particular individual (and for GoDaddy.com in general).
