Complaint Review: Godaddy.com

I recently tried to secure a domain name. after comfirming my domain name was available at a few different sites i decided to find the cheapest price ....Godaddy.com seemed to be the least expensive. after setting up an account with them i preceded to purchase. thats when i noticed the name of the domain was changed???? then again i searched for the correct domain name and it was taken?? so i searched to see who had my domain. and to be surprised it was godaddy.com this seemed strange. now they say i can purchase that domain from them but at double the price. i really dont understand and think im getting ripped off. it seems they pulled some shady stuff here.
