on April 10, 2023, I went to godaddy to search a domain name, the result was, it's available for $2.99.  I accepted that, put it in my cart and tried to check out.  godaddy offered me multiple add-ons which I declined, I only wanted the domain name.

When I tried to check out, I input my credit card info and clicked check out, but on the final page the price was now $11.99.  I opened a chat and chatted with either a real person or an AI bot, I explained what happened and that I was informed the domain would cost $2.99.  The godaddy cust svc said what is the discount code that allows you to purchase that domain for $2.99?

I said there isn't any discount code, I searched it, you said $2.99 I accepted and tried to pay, I have copies of the chat thread.  The chat agent says, sorry that price isn't available for your domain because your domain has the potential to be a premium domain.

And I said, baloney, I don't care what you think it might become, you offered it at $2.99 so either honor that or I'll post a review on ripoff report alerting others about what you tried to pull on me.  I got no response.  For what it's worth, I immediately went to another domain name site and obtained the domain for $1.  Godaddy tried to rip me off.  Personally, I have never been able to stand godaddy, so this is just another example of why.
