I was booked for a stay at The Godfrey for Friday and Saturday of this past weekend (14th and 15th). My flight out of DCA got cancelled at 5:15pm on Friday while I was arriving at the airport. There was a storm system in either Philly or Pittsburg that caused all carriers and flights out of DC heading to Chicago to be cancelled or delayed. American couldn't get me on a flight till the next day. I called Godfrey and explained the situation and they were unwilling to let me change from 2 nights to 1 night stay. I also called Priceline. They called the Godfrey and spoke to a manager Emmanuel who also unapologetically refused to do anything. 

I get that they may have a 24 hour cancellation period, but these were extenuating circumstances completely out of my control. They offered no apology and were completely unwilling to work with me.
