GODISH.COM THE $49.99 RIPOFF HOUSTON, TX Nationwide
Called godish.com in response to an ad offering Dish satellite service at a better rate than I was currently paying a competitor. After a 25 minute speed reading demo from a sales rep. I was signed up and installation scheduled.
A couple days later I noticed a $49.99 charge from godish.com on my credit card statement. This was seperate from the payment to godish from the satellite tv package I had ordered. After some inquiries I learned that the $49.99 was a processing fee to sign me up for a "free" service called Bill Advisor. I did hear the salres rep mention that the service was free for 90 days and I could cancel at anytime, but nothing about a processing fee.
When I questioned the charge for the processing fee Godish responded that I had agreed to it and would not remove the charge. Godish.com i apparently a selling agent for Dish tv and has numerous complaints about their shady sales practices posted by customers who also received the mysterious charge for the free service.
I have no complaints about dish satellite service itself and if you are interested in their satellite tv packages I would recommend calling dishtv directly and avoiding the ripoff sellers at godish.
