Complaint Review: Gold Coast Cadillac Oakhurst NJ

Gold Coast Cadillac, Oakhurst, NJ Failed to perform scheduled maintenance (prior to purchase) and now refuses to perform the service for "Pre-Owned Certified" vehicle Oakhurst NJ

Last spring, I bought a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Gold Coast Cadillac in Oakhurst NJ.  Today, I had it serviced at a different dealer.  That Cadillac dealer pointed out that recommended services had not been performed.  Based on mileage, those services should have been performed prior to my purchasing the vehicle.  I called Gold Coast Cadillac and was told by the service manager that Gold Coast does not perform the Cadillac recommended services - they only do "what they have to" - things like checking the "tires and oil." … 

So next I contacted Cadillac via a phone number on their corporate website - because that web-site states that "Every Certified Pre-Owned Cadillac [...has...] ALL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE PERFORMED"  (https://www.cadillac.com/certified-pre-owned) ....   The lady that I then spoke to (at corporate) was likewise surprised to hear that Gold Coast does not perform scheduled maintenance on vehicles that they are selling as "Certified Pre-Owned." - Cadillac (corporate) will call me back and I trust that I will be able to take my car to a different dealer to have the maintenance performed at Cadillac's expense. - I am satisfied with Cadillac, and I know mistakes are made, but I cannot excuse the Gold Coast dealership's service department, nor can I trust them in the future because they are clearly incompetent at best and deceitful at worst.

The owner of GoldCoast stepped in to personnally resolve the issue - it now appears, after additional research, that the information from the other dealer was only partially correct.  Additionally, the individual that I initially spoke to on the phone was not the service manager.  Gold Coast's "Dealer Principal" contacted me and took the time to personally understand my concerns.  He is now acting swiftly to ensure resolution.  I regret not elevating my concerns to him from the start.
