Complaint Review: Gold Gym Lakeland FL North

I have had nothing but trouble out of the Gym.  After knee surgery in October I hobbled my way into the Gym because they wouldn't cancel my membership over the phone even if I could prove it was me so I made my way in there.  I advised the girl behind the counter that I needed to cancel my membership because I was going to be out at least a year because another knee surgery was needed on the other side.  She looked at me and said you will have to come back during the week to cancel since managers are only in the office Mon-Fri 8 to 5.  I explained to her that it was difficult for me to get here and that 8-5 is normal business hours for someone that has a job so how could I possibly make it back in here during that period.  She said I will freeze your account and you will not receive any more charges and sent me on my way.  Well I am still to this day being charged and I was even charged the yearly service charge after you won't receive any more charges.  Jan 2015 I go back into the club and talk to a manager about this and she (not personable at all) slides me a piece of paper and says write me a letter that you are canceling so I did.  I dated it signed it and argued about all of the charges that I am still getting and how I wanted my money back.  I was told NO ok well make sure this account is cancelled NOW I am sick of being charged for something that I canceled months ago.  She assured me it was cancelled well here we are today Feb 4, 2015 (4 months past the request to cancel in Oct 2014) and who has another charge on their bank account from Golds Gym.  This girl....
