Complaint Review: Gold Key Credit

I Recieved a call from Gold Key asking for my wife. I asked if I could help them. They told me they had a check that CVS just sent them from March 2003 for $29 and change. I asked if they really meant 2003 and they said yes. I was given the check # and the routing# to the bank the check was from. The check# didn't come close to the sequence we are in or were in at the time, and the routing # they gave me didn't match my bank. I asked for a copy of the report and was told only the police department could request it.

I told them I would need to check my records and with CVs. I then called CVS and found out they don't use Gold Key Credit. I also searched the routing # on line and found out it is fradulant. I called Gold Key back and asked for a Supervisor. The operator said it wasn't going to happen but would be happy to take my info and a supervisor would call back in 24-48 hours. When I told her I suspect a scam she laughed and hung up.

I then did a web search for the company and found a report for them on this site. I will also be contacting CVS and my State Atty General.
