Gold's Gym Gym membership Bountiful utah
I recently joined Gold's Gym in Bountiful, UT. I told the rep that i was in Alb. NM and was paying 30$ month to month there. He said that it was not a problem and would do the same here. I signed the paper work at 30 dollars a month and proceeded to work out. After a few months i was in the process of moving and called to cancel my membership to my surprise i was told i was in a two year contract.
When i looked at my last bank statement it said 56.88. When I called they said that i signed up for an extra tanning package for 10$ extra and that they charged a 15$ fee twice a year also, witch was false.
When i called the corp. office they beat arround the bush and said that i would have to drive there to retain a copy of my contract or i would have to pay $10 for them to send me one. I asked to speak to a supervisor and only got her answering machine. i have tryed several times back since then, and now no one will answer at corprate.
I am thoroughly bothered by this situation and would never recomend such a company to a friend or a foe.

I also have a membership with Gold's Gym, I was looking at my bank statement and saw my charge was different in January, I looked at my contract and it does state that twice a year they do charge a fee, just basically for upkeep of the facilities, of $15. I believe it was in January and May but I don't have my contract here with me. That charge was totally legit. I can't say anything else about any tanning package though.
