I recently purchased am Armoire from Goldberg's Furniture, located in Auburn NY. I purchased this for a down payment of $50 and received approval for financing on the other $280 (total of $330). I did not have this delivered due to the $100 fee to be delivered only 10 miles away.

So, I had the furniture picked up by a family member who owns a pick up truck. The same day that I brought the furniture home, I opened the drawers and started to fill with clothing and immediately the whole thing began to fall apart! Soon after I was unable to open the drawers at all! I contacted Goldberg's to have a repair person come look at the furniture.

I was contacted by them a week later and was told that the Armoire was "not repairable" and that it would not be replaced by them. I was also told that I would still be responsible for paying the entire amount of $280. The customer service representative said that the furniture would not be replaced or fixed because I did not pay $100 to have it delivered by them, therefore the damage is my fault!

The service representative was also very rude to me and basically said they did not care about my problem. I would like to mind you that this furniture has been sitting in my bedroom for close to 2 months, with all of the tags still on it and is completely unusable! I have also been contacted by the Goldberg's payment center because I refuse to make payment on something that is so unusable.

This company to me has a horrible customer care ethic and should not be tolerated!
