Golden Eagle Leasing was the company that my bank (our credit card processor) required us to use to obtain our terminal. Our contract is not even dated or signed by any individual from Golden Eagle. My lease contract is for 48 months beginning January 1, 2003. That makes the lease expire January 1, 2007. They have been taking out $30.26 ever since. We closed our business in July and they were sent a certified letter to stop taking out the money. They still are. I called today and they said I was on month to month and that I did not own the machine. However, when I called in July to send in the machine and stop the remittance I was told by Golden Eagle I owned the machine. They have not stopped taking the money from my account.

Today I called and was told by Tiffany that my lease number is not on file but guess what, I am on a month to month lease, that I did not send the certified letter to the correct address, that I have a buy out clause (my contract has no clause) and since I still have the machine they have a right to continue to debit my account. I am going to the Attorney General of both Conn. and New York to see what can be done about the dishonest practices of this company. I am also contacting my credit card processor for help in stopping this company. My contract does call for the lessee not to be able to sue these jerks, and pretty much says too bad, but that will not stop the Attorney Generals from stopping them from illegal practices. My contract does not allow them to steal from me and I see no clause ANYWHERE for the continued payment after the 48 months. My contract was before 2003 when Northern bought them. Perhaps all of the dishonest dealings is from Northern but they need to be stopped from ripping businesses off.
