It all began on June 2 of 2002 after talking with my local bank they referred me to lynk systems for a merchant account to accept credit cards.

A slick sales man came to my home full of family stories and smooth talking. I listend and he walked me through the process to sign up for a merchant account.

After going through all the paper work and listening to his sales pitch I signed the papers and signed a lease with Golden Eagle to lease my credit card terminal.

The sales man told me that it would be a 2 year lease (it turned out to be 4) and that a lease is often a good thing for a business to do, so I listened to him and did what I thought would be a two year lease.

As it turned out Golden Eagle Leasing had a 4 year lease and so I was stuck with a long term lease for which the machine I was leasing is only worth $350. That alone is very misleading.

After I finish with the lease I will have paid $3160 for equipment that is only worth $350!!!! is this honest---I think not.

I tried contacting Golden Eagle leasing and talking with them to cancel the lease and I would send back the machine---boy did me and my wife get an ear full.

They told us we were the stupid ones for signing the lease--and were extremely rude!!!! chewing out my wife on the phone. I tried talking with them and they told me if I would ask for a deal they would make me one.

I asked for the so called deal and he told me that if I sent the machine back I would only owe them $1000. I had already paid them $1580.00 in lease payments so you tell me this is a good deal???? I think not.

So as it stands Golden Eagle is not interested in helping it's customers--only collecting money from them as indicated above. They have more than made enough money on this one machine to the tune of $1230.00 when you subtract the original cost of the machine of $350.00.

I have never dealt with such unkind and rude people as me and my wife have with Golden Eagle Leasing Inc.

My advice to anyone looking to lease a credit card terminal would be to stay away from Golden Eagle leasing and further more I would buy the machine outright. Will save you lots of headaches.
