Golden Hand Moving moving ripoff bid move at $3,000 but on arrival charged over $11,000 Refused to unload until paid Denver Colorado
On line bid to move small 2 BR from KS to NM for $3000. They brought small cargo truck and packed up, damaging several items in process. Upon arrival they unloaded and demanded $8000 more as it "was more than they expected". As I was enroute my brother paid them as they threatened to drive the full truck back to Denver. I would have to pay for storage as well as round trip moving. Denver State attorney stated Shaun (the owner) committed fraud but could not prosecute across State lines. I could try a civil action but would need to be in Denver for possibly several months. Avoid these Rip Off Artists!

Colorado can't prosecute them, but the federal government can. Call 1-888-DOT-SAFT to report them to the Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carier Safety Administration. What they did constitues a "hostage load" and a typical moving scam.
