Goldmoney.com Bitgold They locked my account and when I called they told me i have to log into my account to get my money back. Catch 22. Toronto Ontario

Goldmoney.com, ex-Bitgold. Stay away! It's a total scam. When I opened an account at Bitgold a while ago, they took my money happily. Now, they locked my account, I cannot log in anymore. And I've been using the same password and login for years. Also, there is no phone support anymore. I email them, they request my phone bills! (Ha? That's the first time in last 20 years a company requested something like that from me. Maybe it's some Canadian custom, not American for sure.)

This all makes me angry. So, i request a support phone number over email. Finally, a day later, they send me one -- Our Toronto Office can be reached at 1-855-593-2895 9am-5pm EST | Our Jersey Channel Islands Office can be reached at 1-855-583-4653 9am-5pm GMT.

I recommend everybody who's got some holdings with them use that phone number and try to get your money or gold back. This is not a place you can trust.

OK, I am angry already and I ask them to reset the login over the phone. They ask me everything - name, DOB, address, my phone number. I give them EVERYTHING. No can do, send us your phone bill. My goodness! Anybody these days can fabricate a fake bill using Photoshop, what a stupidity!
That stupidity makes me even angrier, so I decide to close my account and get my gold shipped to me. No can do. You need to log into your account to do that. OK then, let me into my account, reset my password or whatever. No can do, send us your phone bill. That's a Catch 22 at it's best!

Oh, and even better part - when I requested my physical gold, no can do. It's cash only, and then you have to send them all kind of paperwork so they have access to your bank account. Just some red tape, hoping you would give up and leave your gold with them. They didn't ask me for that when they wanted my money. When I opened this account, the main thing was you could redeem your PHYSICAL gold anytime.

So far, they told me I am definitely not getting my gold back.

So, stay away. STAY AWAY!
