Golds Gym Attempting to collect on a false account for years - admitted wrongdoing in better business bureau claim #22091446 in 2010 - still wont stop! Sandy, Utah

I was originally a member of a small gym in Sandy Utah. That gym was purchased by Golds.  All members had to sign a contract with Golds gym to continue using the facility.  The agency that handles Golds administration and collections is Paramount Acceptance.  Someone made a mistake and entered two contracts into their system.  They misapplied my payments and places some on the valid account and some on the invalid/bogus account.  As a result it appeared in their system that I had two delinquent accounts.  I was constantly receiving collections calls and letters and threats.  I was denied access to the gym even though I was paid AHEAD not behind.  Having worked in collections myself, I figured out the problem and talked to Paramount about it.  They agreed that they were in error and promised to remove one account from the system.  They did not do this. Instead they put one account in a "hold" status.  Then every few months or years someone at Paramount will run a report and the bogus account will resurface and they will flag it as delinquent and either start in house collections or send it off to another agency for very past due collection action.  Then the harassment will start all over again.  In Feb 2010 I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau of Utah (Claim number 22091446.)  At that time Paramount admitted they were in error. They apologized yet again and promised to improve their processes and said that they took the bogus account out of their system.  Again, they did not.  Right before Christmas 2012 I received a collection letter from Liberty Acquisition L.L.C attempting to collect on this bogus debt.  

Additional to their illegal and unethical billing practices - the gym located at 1300 East in Sandy is FILTHY.  It is disgusting and a health hazard.  The cardio theatre is broken down about 40% of the time and when it is working the staff is to incompetent to even restart the movie when it is over.  You are trapped in there staring at the index screen for long periods of time.  Or you can interrupt your cardio work out and walk out of the theatre past the weights to the front desk to ask the individual to start the movie.  When you do you will most often find the staff flirting with each other or texting or talking on their phones.  The staff behind the counter is rude and incompetent.  The bathrooms are just horrible.  I have seen toilets in the womens bathroom covered in feces and blood.  When I told the staff they were completely unconcerned.  I have stepped over piles of garbage to get into the gym before.  That means every member of the staff on duty that day also walked right over the garbage and did not clean it up.  The maintenance is horrible.  Machines stay broken for weeks.  There was a big hole in the wall of the basket ball court for almost a year.  The walls are filthy and the pipes near the ceiling are covered in dirt an dust.  I have talked to many people who have told me nightmare horror stories about collection practices by Paramount.  I am filing numerous complaints against them with agencies including the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Commerce Consumer Protection Division.
