Complaint Review: GoManzanillo Scuba Shack Manzanillo

I read the complaint on-line and it motivated me to share my experiance with the Scuba Shack in Manzanillo. I found the shop using the internet and your first impression is the shop is professional and well run.

I travelled with two others and went directly to the Scuba Shack. Our first impression was quite different from the impression we go from reading the website.  Fact is the store is spartan, has a animal smell, dark and dingy.  We got there we met a man who introduced himself as Carlos. Our first impression of him, was "he must be well hung over" as the smell of alcohol just poured out of him. Fortunatley he is just the owner and does not do any diving.

We tried to negotiate a price for 2 dives, three of us. But he was quite adamant on price and had a general uncaring demeanor about him. He just didnt give a bit, whether we dove with them or not.  Unwelcome would well discribe the feeling we got from "Carlos"

We did notice the store to be in general disrepair, unkept and like I said earlier smelled bad. After a few minutes of thinking things over we decided to go somewhere else. Good for us and anyone who wants to dive in Manzanillo there is another dive store about 300 yards away called Acuatic Sports and Adventure. I dont think there are any other options in Manzanillo for diving.

In a nut shell, DONT be fooled by the slick works on the website. The Scuba Shack is not the place to go diving. Use the other shop.
