Goo Goo Car Wash in Rome Ga Martha Berry Blvd Yesterday Oct 7th 2018 I went to Goo Goo to my SUV washed. I put it in neutral as I was told. hands off the wheel. as the soap and bristles were going i heard a thump along with feeling something.. so i stopped. and one Kid come running out in the bay area put it in drive!
so I did and went out and as to my amazement found out i had somehow hit another vehicle. Well I asked for the Manager.he actually had the nerve to ask me if i wanted another wash!!! the kid couldn't been more than 20 or 21 said he was, as he was snickering..then goes to tell me i didn't have it in neutral. then how would someone come out yelling put it in drive??
i said look! look at the other mans vehicle too..he said you want me to call the cops for you ? i said yes.. so now this cop tells me I was following too closely and should've braked! what? bristles and soap spinning?? i get cited.following too closely. yes i'm angry.
they are trying to save their insurance money (scam) brush it off on someone else except their own company. well it doesn't take much to contact legal advice if you have the money..shameee on you people! i still have my marbles and my eyes. to know what's what..it aint over. ...

You got a ticket for following to closely inside a Car Wash? Just for the humor value(yes not to you) I think you should fight the ticket in court and see what the judge says. But with all seriousness there is one troubling statement.

If you were in Neutral, why exactly did you need to "stop"? Neutral would mean you are not moving by the engine. instead from outside influences. So figuring you are in an automated wash, there is a chain or some mechansim that is moving you through the wash. If this is the case you have zero control over stopping without causing some more severe issues which you did not mention. The guides they use are also automatically spaced making it impossible to hit the car in the wash that was going through before you. The only place I could see this happening is at the end of the wash where the car in front of you once they were off the guides did not continue forward and you hit them. However, at that point it would have been past the point you would have had soap and brushes going. So something doesn't seem to match up with the exact scenario you put out.
I am also trying to figure out exactly how much damage was done to the cars with your car in "Neutral", and going throguh a carwash probably 1-2MPH at most?
