My wife suffers from a bunion on her left foot and saw an advertisement on TV showing the relief obtained by others with this problem by using the services of Good Feet.  She went to their Victoria store on 7 April, 2009.  The store manager, Jacquie Bullen, listened to her and gave her a package of shoe inserts, briefly explaining their use and telling her that her feet had to become accustomed to them and that this would take some time, even a few weeks, before full relief from her problem would be felt. This cost her a total of $601.22.

She wore them on both feet, completely in accordance with Ms Bullen's verbal instructions, but when her left foot felt no better after a reasonable length of time and her right foot was becoming painful too from the insert, she went back to the store to explain her dissatisfaction.  Ms Bullen re-measured her left foot, told her that one of the inserts which she had been given was too large, exchanged it and gave her a page of written instructions.  My wife went through the same routine as before, but by early July her feet were no better.  Again she went back to the store and was told that "someone" would be in touch with her, but that the 30 day time limit for exchanges had expired and that no refunds were given.

On reading he leaflet originally supplied with the inserts in April, I saw that my wife was deemed to have agreed (which she definitely did not) that any lawsuit which she might initiate against Good Feet must be brought in San Diego County, CA, otherwise she would pay all Good Feet's legal costs - this for a purchase made in Canada!

I consider that my wife was ripped off for over $600 and scammed out of effective service by time limitations.  We have both advised other sufferers of foot problems to give Good Feet a very wide berth.
