I purchased a family room sofa 3 years ago. I explained that it was for a Family room with 3 active kids. I was talked into purchasing a warranty to cover accidents and excessive wear.

Now the fabric has worn significantly away in sections with foam exposed etc. and the warranty company denies the claim, stating this is "normal" wear and tear. I think not, after paying 900.00 for sofa plus fees and explaining to the sales person about how I wanted a durable fabric.

I call Good's and speak to the Manager (Jeffrey Thomas??) about this fraudulent company he is using and the denial of a claim and he agrees with the company. He stated he lives in a studio apt and his sofa is ok. Hello! where is the connection to me ? He said he cannot predict how the fabric will last. I said this will cost me a least 500.00 to recover, can he he at least give me a name of a place to assist me in the repair at a discount ? He was not even sure of a company who could repair at all in the area.

In other words tough luck you lose. I think that one should at least have more than 3 years for a piece of "good" furniture.
