I've been to Ocoee Tire (which also goes by Goodyear Gemini ) on 3 occasions. Each time they tried a little harder to upsell me on parts or services which I didn't need-it's a business and I understand having to do that as much as I disagree with it. This final time however, the crossed the line of business ethics.

I was contacted by the business owner Art and told I needed a new coil for my engine. I had replaced this part on my own and asked for more detail including the location of the part. He told me it was on the engine. Since I didn't want to mess with the engine I gave them the go ahead to do the work and was quoted at $500.

When I went to pick up my car, I was shown the piece that was changed and it was not on the engine as I was told. When I confronted the owner he was tongue tied and tried apologized that I misunderstood him (sincerity at its finest). When it all comes down to it the part cost me $250 or almost $200 more than I could have bought it for. The labor-which at most was an hour or two ran me another $200 and they charged me to run a diagnostic, which is fine except that the broke the cover to my diagnostics port and double-sided taped it on. At the end I was gauged for $600 for what at most should have cost me $250.

I was told to avoid this auto repair shop, but they were close to where I live so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Anyone reading this heed my warning and AVOID Ocoee Tire / Goodyear Gemini at any and all cost - cost being the optimal word here.
