Your dissatisfaction with the high down payment is a case of buyer’s remorse.
Lenders are not required to accept payments via telephone. It is the borrower’s responsibility to present payment to the lender by the due date. Two days late is… LATE. You failed to honor the financial agreement; therefore, you were not ripped off.
