My 2002 Trans Am with only 504 miles was towed into the Biloxi, MS. Goodyear after being ran off the road by a drunk driver. I told the Service Manager, David that I was extremely concerned about the cost of the apparent 2 blown tires and that I did not want to claim this on insurance, brand new right? Anyway, he was to get back with me with the BEST price on the 2 tires. He called back about 2 hours later with a quote of roughly $2K. WHAT!?! He said I needed the 2 tires and 2 new wheels. The tires are $401. each and the aluminum wheels $516 each. I argued a bit about the price of the tires so he gave me, right, a discount down to $268 each. The price was reduced to $1738.

I then argued about the 2 wheels(not tires) and not a scratch on 1 and a small dent on the other. He said "they will not hold air in the tires and have to be replaced". Yeah, right. Anyway, I had to pay for it and get my car back, so I did. I requested the 2 "damaged" wheels be placed inside my car and a d**n good thing. I then took the 2 "damaged" wheels to 2 other Goodyear affiliates in the area and to 1 wheel repair specialist. Absolutely nothing wrong with 1 wheel and the other wheel can easily be repaired for less than $100. How about that ! It's been 5 1/2 months and they still owe me my $1300.00 and what a bunch of idiots ! I had to have my car right then, but at least I salvaged the proof ! Oh, they overcharged me on the tires and finally refunded me the $160.50 difference after 5 months. The conflict was with the 2 store managers, or I mean store idiots !
