Gordon Finanacial Services I received a letter dated July 14th, 2008 that stated a lottery was held on May 16th and my name was attached to the lucky number of 2,5,11,16,26 and 42. I received a check drawn on Wells Fargo Bank in the amount of $3,950. I was to contact Josh Philips or Patience Williams at said number to confirm my claim. Niagara Falls Ontario
When I spoke with Josh Philips a heavy accented man answered the phone and asked me what my claim number was and if I deposited the check. I advised him no. He asked why I did not deposit the check, I advised him that I was having difficulty understanding him. When I asked to speak with Patience, he told me to call back and she would answer the phone. I received her voice mail which stated her mail box was filled.
After looking at ripoff report.com, I viewed an consumers report that indicated it was a scam and not to deposit the check.
Consumers........beware..............we thought we might be able to get our hottub, but it sounded to good to be true. Glad we checked first. Don't fall victim to this scam

If all these scam reports of Mystery shoppers, Lotteries and the like......with people being sent checks for sometimes thousands of dollars.....I have yet to read one where the victim hasnt already had the money spent. NO one ever mentions putting it into savings etc.
I simply cannot believe ANYONE in their right mind would think for a millisecond that the money was legit !!! How can you possibly even consider it to be legitimate and have plans on spending it right away??
When are people going to wake up and realize that NO ONE sends ANYONE else free money !!! Stop letting greed rule you. Didnt you for even ONE minute stop to think WHY.........WHY would someone you dont know and cant understand send you 3 or 4 grand?
