I contracted to build single story new home with builder in March with a mid August completion date. It is almost October and house is not complete. Failed inspections, structural errors, negligence, poor craftmanship, redo, theft of contents in house, no communication, structural damage to roof and corner of home by payloader gradding driveway, etc, etc.

I actually had to notify the builder that the house had been damaged structurally and was told "oh that happens all the time, don't worry about it, you should see some of the stuff that happens". I had to notify the builder all the kitchen and bathroom cabinets had been stolen off the wall. Was told " Oh that is going to delay us more due to ordering new ones now". I had to chase down foreman, salesman, to get answers constantly on no work being done on house, or each time they actually did something it was wrong from the blueprints.

Was ignored when I asked for mail boxes and streetlights to be installed in development. Was ignored when I would plead for house to be finished. I actually lost my job two weeks before the completion date ( the third quoted, not the actual since it still isnt completed) and had to cancel the house. As a result, the contract states that all deposits refunded if mortgage not qualified for.

The builder refuses to refund my deposits due to construction had already been started. Funny thing, if they had completed the house in the timely manner promised I would have been in the home prior to my losing income. Is this a blessing or a burden? I am single (now unemployed) mother and have no income, and cannot work in my profession now. I am forced to relocate home to parents in NY state. I cannot even rent a uhaul as all my savings is in Gordon Hartman's fat little hand.
