Gorilla Islands Failed to deliver product Corona Ca
Purchased a custom BBQ island form Gorilla Islands, quoted 6-8 weekd to build. They required 1/2 down & balance due upon building of frame work. Paid cash when requested per their terms, final payment in Feb 2019. Called several times in march to get an update on BBQ Island.
Was promised delivery in March to our vacation home in AZ, which was part of the original agreement. Drove to AZ for delivery, and they were a no show. After another promised delivery date that they did not show for in April, I went to their shop and requested a refund for their lack of deliveing the island thast was paid for in full 2-months prior.
I was told by Kevin that they would keep 30% becauce I was canceling the contract, which I told him I was not canceling but was tired of the lies & false promises. I went to look at the finished product they were suppose to deliver and it wasnt even complete. I contacted a l;awyer to write a demand letter, to either deliver the Island or provide a refund and to respond within 10 days, no responce unit the 11th day stating they would deliver.
Scheduled another delivery date in Oct 24th -28th, which they agreed. Sent confirming text up to 2 days of promised delivery. They stated they could not deliver unit Nov 2nd. rearranged my schedule to accomodate their delivery time. Drove to AZ to meet for delivery and again a no show.
It has been almost a year since the original transaction which I have paid them $9080.00 and I still have no BBQ Island as promised. I have since review their Yelp reviews and was amazed by all the complaints that were almost identical to mine. They are taking peoples money with no intentions of delivering any product.
