On or about October,7 2003 I recieved a call from a sales person from Gotec Financial who informed me that I would recieve a credit card guarenteed 5000.00 to 7000.00 from one of any number of credit card companys they were working with. They clamed that I would receive a package in the the mail that included a web access code to the sites of these great topsecret financial institutions, but only after sending a 219.00 payment.

So being the cautious consumer I thought I would check them out via the BBB. Well no complaints were filed in the past 3 years so they say. So on October, 15 2003 I take the plunge, two weeks go buy and no package. I recieved a call from a Gotec employee who told me that they put the wrong zip code on the package. Again two more weeks go buy and I put in a call to customer service, the person who reads off the address and no appartment number this time, again they claim two more weeks.

I finally started calling and it was about one week straight I left messages for someone to call back. I also e-mailed the a real nice letter. Finally after getting through I was put on hold never to be gotten back to. Apparently the planets were in proper allignment that day because another customer rep. got on, but only after kicking the phone across the room and answering like a school girl at a house party. Again I'm put on hold, I called back to speak to a gentelman, and I use the word lightly. I explained to him my delema and he informed me that my package was sent out the day before and he could do nothing for me, and what an attitude!

I requested to speak to a manager I explained to her what had took place and how I had been waiting for this package for two months. Well the manager didn't put forth enough effort to convince me that I was a valued customer. So I wanted to speek to her boss, he is apparently the owner who was away on "business" (translation, playing golf someplace that cost somewhere around 219.00) I felt that if the owner was aware of the clowns that were running this business, maybe he could save his business or his a*s from going to jail, or needing a credit card from a company like his current business. Miss customer service gave me the address, and told me to dirrect it to, get this "attention to the owner", nice!

Well I got my package with a CD with all of the lending institutions available, most of which were Internet Product purchase credit cards. The funny thing is that if you find a card that appeals to you you fill out the information and lets say you need to put in the state where you live to continue the application there is not a block to finish filling it out.

The funniest thing is that I had been recieving credit card advertisements via e-mail and I had been ignoring them for two months and placing them in a folder for future referance. Well I checked them last night and they were the same ones that I had paid 219.00 for.

In addition when you check out each credit card their is a section with comments, I didn't see one favorable comment made about any of the credit cards available in this package.

GOTEC FINANCIAL IS A SCAM!

The bottom line is this, guys like me go to war for people like this, so they can to rip you off. He's worryed about his next golf shot we're worried about the next shot comming out an AK47.
Sad world, GO U.S. ARMEDFORCES!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
