I was sitting at home and I recieved a call from a telemarketer, and They offered me a credit card visa/mastercard...This being my first credit card chance since I am 18.

I listened The man's name as he claimed was Raymond Watson he told me there would be a one time fee of $ 219.50. Then he asked for my bank account information i was very hesistive being as they guy did'nt speak english very well.

He then continued to tell me he was online with all the banks, So I hung up on him casually. He calls back and kept asking why i thought it was a scam and he offered to read me off the routing numbers to the banks he had been in contact with and which was mine so for a second I felt reassured and I was excting by the idea of having a $ 5,000.00 credit line.

I then gave him my account number. I soon was talking to a represensitve and as i was speaking to him i looked up with their website on google and it said fraud so I was quick to hang up and call my bank he then continued to call me back twice and I told him I read how it was fraud and that i was'nt intrested.

So he then calls back one last time which I did not answer. The whole problem about this is your bank wont freeze your account over the phone so your not fully safe. The only thing my bank did was a stop payment. Which they can add or subtract the actual funds.
