Government Grant Processing Center ripoff St. Petersburg Florida
I just received a telephone call (ON MY CELL PHONE) from "Jack Watson," a foreign speaking gentleman from Gov't Grant Processing Center. He told me that I was selected to recieve a grant for $8,000 within six months. He asked me to verify my mailing address, which bothered me because I had not requested any information or had written a grant proposal.
Near the end of the conversation after a series of questions to determine why I was receiving this $8,000, "Jack" stated that I would need to have $249 by Sept. 20. I told him that I did not have the money and will not have it in the future. He tried to pressure me into loaning it off of a family member or friend.
At this point, I was thoroughly disgusted with this gentleman invading my privacy and trying to scam me out of money. I took down his information and politely told him, "Thanks, but no thanks." From there, I ended the call and immediately begin researching this so call government agency.
I just hope that more people are becoming aware and investigating all organizations before giving out their information.
Let's get these people before they get money from others.
