Complaint Review: Kirby Vacuum Sales

We were told of a special promotion to introduce a new carpet cleaning method. They would deep clean and shampoo one room and one hallway at no charge. We emptied our room of all furniture except sofa & table.

A Kirby vacuum was carried in at 7:45 p.m. and left at 10:30 p.m. A sales girl preached the glories of a Kirby and left felt circles of extracted dirt all over our family room. Finally at 10 p.m. she sprayed a pre-cleaner over high traffic areas and spent, at the most, 20 minutes cleaning a spot 4 feet square.

I now have one clean 4' x 4' spot in my family room. Also, while she was here she made one long distance call on my phone, because she had pulled the vacuum apart and could not get it back together.

My evening, 2 hours & 45 minutes, wasted on false advertising. My time spent taking furniture out of my room in hopes of receiving a clean carpet were dashed. I was planning on giving the cleaner cash for a job well done, but I found myself wishing that they'd just leave.
