Complaint Review: Gpnethelp / Fling.com

On March 31, 2008 I had gotten a chance to look over my bank statments for the last few months. Anyway I saw that I had charges being made to my checking account for $34.95. At first I thought that it may have been something that I may have forgotten about and didn't write it down in my check book.

So I went on line and checked my checking accoutn even closer and saw that the name of the company was Gpnethelp.com and I realized that I didn't have a clue as to who they were. Well it took me a little while to track the company down and found out that it was another name for a company called fling.com some dating service that I had put a profile on back in October or November of last year. But I never did activate the account as for giving them my check card information.

So I checked my bank statements going back to January 31, 2008 and saw that is when they started charging my checking account $34.95 each month. I have gone as far as to remove my profile from the web site, I don't know yet if they are going to charge me again or not at the end of April.

I have been trying to call this company at the number that is on their site to make sure that the account has been cancelled but the number that they give is not a working number. My next move is to get intouch with my bank and get a new check card issued to me with a new checking account number so that this doesn't happen to me again.
