Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) has been a cool fast food manager. However when Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) takes sides with certain employees there's another side of her character to her.

Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto)'s career background came from working at a major fast food brand to nursing then back to fast food cause Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) had long hours. Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) has a few kids and a husband who I think is a driver or something like that.

I chose to leave my job temporarily and Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) interpreted it as if i quit. I am not sure who said it to her. I tried to explain this to the franchise office who has blocked my email on both emails without any explanation. Also, Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) has chosen to yell at me over the phone instead of giving me a chance and get me back. Not sure why Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) would do that. I kept professional while working there. I did my research and yes employees can be accepted back at their old job they quit.

Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) Is heavily focused on making sure the location is having high profits over making sure employees are professional and treating other co-workers well. Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) Let the problems exist. I mentioned about a shift manager and the problem kept happening. Other employees yell sometimes at each other and nothing was done. It kept increasing and didn't stop. Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) Did nothing to fix it.

I do forgive Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) but I do not think she has realized there's lots of things that need fixing there. I addressed these things with head office to make sure things are changed. I even mentioned to another previous general manager on how to negotiate the lease so they continue to have their jobs. If Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) retaliates then I may mention to corporate and franchise office. But I hope Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto) does hire me back so I can give good positive updates as this article alone may be bad for Grace Cabalquinto (Or Mary Grace Cabalquinto)'s reputation. Looking forward to posting updates either way.

I chose to leave my job temporarily and Grace Cabalquinto interpreted it as if i quit.  Yes, that sounds exactly like job abandonment.  If you leave a position without permission, or decide that you aren't going to show up when scheduled, then the employer can interpret the action as abandoning the job, or quitting.  It doesn't matter how YOU interpret the action - it is how they interpret the action, and the law says that you abandoned the job.

I tried to explain this to the franchise office who has blocked my email on both emails without any explanation.  Or they simply decided that since you quit, there is no reason to read any of your e-mails.  I know if I were in that office, then I wouldn't read your garbage either.

I did my research and yes employees can be accepted back at their old job they quit.  So what??  No employer is under any obligation to accept an employee back onto the job once they've quit.  In fact, once an employee is terminated from employment, the employer can place a mark indicating the employee is not eligible for rehire.  Once they do that, then you're done.  If you don't understand, then let's make this clear:  You left your job without permission, and you opted not to show up for shift or shifts for whatever reason.  The reason no one will hire you back is because no one will trust you to show up for work.  I would absolutely not rehire you for that reason alone.

....heavily focused on making sure the location is having high profits over making sure employees are professional and treating other co-workers well.   I guess there are 2 comments here.  First, that's what a restaurant manager is hired to do, and second, if you're complaint is the manager doesn't treat employees well, then why are you trying to get your job back?  You can't complain the manager stinks but then want her to give you a job.  You sound stupid and completely unprofessional.

Your job as a restaurant employee is to serve food and drinks - period/end of story.  I suspect this manager and this restaurant has put up with your idiocy and garbage for a long time.  If you really truly think you know more than anyone, then here are two things you should do:

  • Shut up
  • Open up your own restaurant

Until then, if you're going to work in a restaurant, focus on your job as a server.
