Complaint Review: Grand Canyon University

I took execption with my instructor Sheia Dwyer "fronting" me out in front of the entire class. She specifically named me in a comment that caused me embarrasment and she had never done that to anyone alse. I complained to her about her lack of ethics and lack of professionalism in that I took exceptiont to her comment and that she was looking for an excuse to take away point from me on assignments because she did not like my postings on a previous assigment.

Dwyer then called me and as I was trying to explain to her she kept interupting me and talking over me. I repeatedly asked her to stop and wait and let me finish but she continued to talk over me. Finally, after having enough of her antics, I yelled at her to let me finish. She then told me that she was terminating the call. So I told her that I can't wait for the class to end so that I would be away from her. I also told her that I would complain about her to her supervisor Michael Coplan.

The next day I found out from her that she was filing a code of conduct violation against for yelling at her. Seems to me that she preempted me by filing on me. I called Dwyer's supervisor twice and left messages. Coplan's excuse as to why he did not return my first call was because he was in a meeting.

When Coplan called me back we arranged a time to speak. He did not call me at the arranged time but called me and left me a message at time when he knew I was not available because I told him that at a certain time I was unavailable. When I spoke to him, he told me that he was late because he was in another meeting yet he never told me when we first spoke that he might be late because he had a meeting.

It seems to me that he used the meeting excuse so that he had time to prepare his reponse to my complaint against his subordinate.

After spending 26 miuntes on the phone with him listening to him rationalize everything that Dwyer did and said, I reliazied that no matter what I said, that he was going to rule against me. He basically told me that he was an unibiased party. What does that tell you about the man's integrity?

He was not able to expalin why and has not provided an explantion for why Dwyer regraded my essay after I accused her of looking for an excuse to take points away from me (which she did) after I made the corrections that she recommended. Dwyer has no integrity because she was caught by me in unethical behavior and then tried to cover her tracks by regrading my paper and giving me a higher score. Coplan said he would look into when she changed the grade because "magically" he was unable to access the information at that time but was able to access everything else.

Also, at the end of my call to Coplan he refused to listen to my side as I tried to explain how Dwyer, kep talking over me and interutping me when I was trying to explain to her. I told him that she escalated the situation by continuing to interupt. Coplan claimed that I kept interupting because he heard the audio recording of the call (which I have not heard and doubt they will ever let me hear). Coplan claimed there was a paused in the recording and that Dwyer felt she could speak. If there is such a pause, then my question is who edited the recording?
