Grand Canyon University GCU is ripping me off Phoenix Arizona
I made a change to my class schedule two weeks before I started a course, and I had an email from GCU saying that my student loan would be fine for the change. Three weeks into the class, I had a call from GCU asking how I would pay for the class change. I told them that I had an email from an advisor saying my student loan would take care of it, however I was told that the advisor shouldn't have said that, and that I had to pay for the class 100%, and they would not take money from my FAFSA. I immediately cancelled the course, but I was told I had to pay for the full course. I argued my case with several at GCU, but it fell on deaf ears. I'm now receiving calls from a collection agency to pay $927.00, and I am refusing to pay.
GCU should cancel this tuition payment. I will continue to fight for something that they confirmed would work out with my student loan. Even if the advisor made a mistake, they should pay for their own mistakes in customer service. I deserve better than this.
