I am now having similar issues with GCU. I am in the home stretch of my masters in teaching and up to last term was a 4.0 student. My last two instructors have done the same thing (try to fail me the last week of class). This time it was the last 48 hours of classes. I feel very disheartened that this is supposed to be a "Christain" university and yet they treat students very very poorly! All was wonderful to this point - I also found out that they don't require much for instructors to be hired and this is probably why. I realize in the college of teaching that most do not hold higher than a masters degree but thinking about "Christian" colleges this is FAR FAR from it!! None of these instructors have a soul! And this last one I had was a pastor? come on - most pastors I know have COMPASSION and are caring and understanding as were all my instructors up to this year. It's ridiculous!! I am now stuck and have wasted over 40k!! There credits also do not transfer - a really bad oversite by me when I applied, but I was referred by another teacher where I worked - Go figure!!

Trying to pass a class is not the same thing as passing a class. You don't get a passing grade for trying hard, you get it for performance.

Why did you're paper get a zero? Was it late? Did you not fulfill the requirements of the assignment? Have you already done so badly that you cannot pass (thus, making it a waste of time for the instructor to grade your paper)?

Did you ask for kelp from the instructor or did you just expect him to do for you without any initiative on your part?

It is incredibly irresponsible to call out a professor by name and accuse him of discrimination without providing any kind of basis for that claim.

Shame on you.

Actually, I am telling the truth because he did had favoritism with other students and I worked hard and do deserve y paper to get graded when he didnt even do it. This was my final class in order to complete my marketing degree it is not fair when I did not had this type of problems before at all with other professors.

Perhaps you should have tried harder

Unfortunatly in the "real world" sometimes trying hard is not enough.  Nothing you posted here shows that you were discriminated against.  In fact if this was a paper you were turning in, just based on how you wrote this report, perhaps the Professor is correct.

All schools have a complaint process. I suggest you put your complaint in writing to the professor, and copy the Dean of the school.  If that doesn't get a response, sent another letter to the dean and copy the VP for Academic Affairs or Provost.

Just out of curiousity, what class was it? If it was English, and your post is indicative of your writing skills, I don't think you have a cause for complaint.
