We were asked to participate in a post tour evaluation session. We would complete a survey & give our opinion regarding our overall experience of our Grand Crowne Resort tour. We would receive $40.00 + our $20.00 deposit & free breakfast. We completed the survey then the "real" show started.

They described dream vacation for only a few hundred dollars. Car rentals & airfare at terrific discounts. All these deals were written on a white board & quickly wiped away. This service was selling for &7,883.00 + $149.00 yrly membership fee. Each couple had a salesperson at their table.

We explained time & again we didn't travel & we couldn't afford the service. The pressure was great!!! The Mgr. joined us & offered to come down to $2,000.00. We continue to try to justify why we did want to buy. The pressure continued! She was in our face & kept saying "shake my hand & join the family." My head was pounded & we just wanted to get out. There was no aircondition (the electricity was out) & we had had no breakfast as promised.

We signed a contract & they refuse to cancel. When you get home you realize you have nothing but a Price Match Guarantee for $2000.00. I called 24 hrs. later & they just laugh & say sorry you shouldn't have signed a contract. The Attorney General's office said there is a 3 day right to cancel law. I also notified them in writing within that time frame. But Grand Crowne says that law doesn't apply to them.

I have filed a complaint with Attorney Generals Office, the Better Business Bureau, Credit Card company, The Chamber of Commerce. I've talked with newspaper reporters & consumer Concerns reporter for KY3 news. I want to get the word out so other people won't be taken advantage of. Our vacation was ruined & I never want to see Branson again. Thank you for providing a forum for consumers that have been ripoff.

Mr. and Mrs. Fisher signed their contract with us in July of 2004. At that time, there wasn't any rescission law for this type of Network Membership. The law did not take effect until August of 2005. Grand Crowne did not violate any laws in reference to any type of rescission with their membership.

All members sign paperwork explained by Verification Officers, so the company will know that we have a member who understands their purchase. Our contract paperwork contains acknowledgements, which the member reads, initials and signs indicating they are not coerced or forced to buy their memberships.

Since these individuals entered their complaint, the membership was canceled in November of 2004. The comments these individuals have made in reference to the membership really should not have been stated, since they NEVER called our Member Services department and attempt to actually understand the membership's services and benefits or realize that it is not just a Price Match Guarantee membership.
