Complaint Review: grand Crowne Resorts

Please explain why the North Myrtle Beach office for Capital Resorts is selling points for the Seaside resort yet they show a unit that they do not own, it is only shown as a model, that is much nicer than the one that the owners can actually stay in. Why does Capital Resorts show an RCI points chart to make the sale when the actual points chart for Capital Resorts is 4 times higher than the RCI exchange points.

So to sum it up you are lying to people about how many points they have to buy to stay at Seaside Resort and then they are showing a beautiful ocean front 3 bedroom that the owners couldn´t stay in at all? It is because the management at that office are LIARS!!

Your legal bulls**** can´t hide the truth about that company it is terrible.....so come and find me and we´ll talk about the fraud that occurs at Capital resorts!! Lisa Maples, Tim Cole, Dana Shockley, all of them are in on it and it is disgusting!! SHAME ON CAPITAL RESORTS AND ANY LOW LIFE ATTORNEY who represents them!!!

In order to defend against the baseless allegations asserted against Surrey Vacation Resorts, Inc. (“Surrey”) and Capital Resorts Group, LLC (“Capital Resorts”) in this offensive post, Surrey filed a lawsuit against “koonandproud” for defamation (per the case number provided above in the State of Louisiana – at that time, a “John Doe” lawsuit).  As a result of that lawsuit, Surrey can now confirm that the poster’s email, physical address and other identifying information are completely fake.  Clearly, this poster did not want to be held accountable for the same untrue and deceptive comments he/she felt so free to assert under the apparent protection of anonymity.   

On July 26, 2014, Surrey received documents in response to a subpoena it served regarding the identity and whereabouts of “koonandproud.”  Those documents purported to identity the poster’s name, e-mail address, physical address, and IP address from which the post actually originated.  In response to receiving that information, Surrey hired an investigator who was unable to locate any records on the name provided, the physical address provided, or a responsive email.  Accordingly, the anonymous poster (“koonandproud”) used false account information when registering his/her account and when submitting his/her post.  The reasoning is quite clear:  the poster did not want to be held legally accountable for his/her false and malicious fabrications.

Further attempts to locate the poster through the IP address provided were equally unsuccessful. An investigation revealed that the IP address was associated with the several telecommunication companies.  Surrey requested subscriber information from both companies. The first informed Surrey that it does not have any information because the subject IP address was “leased.”  The second company, the actual leasor of the IP address, simply referred us back to the first company for any end user information.

Without any verifiable identifying author information, Surrey is unable (at this time) to pursue its defamation claim against “koonandproud.”  However, Surrey steadfastly maintains that the information contained in the offending post is wholly specious and legally actionable.  Surrey and Capital Resorts will continue to offer the same exemplary service and products that have permitted them to maintain the highest level of recognition from the leading global providers of leisure services in the vacation industry.  Moreover, Surrey and Capital Resorts will continue to vigorously seek out and defend against any and all attempts to tarnish their well-earned reputations – especially against those who surreptitiously hide behind false identities in an attempt to avoid the legal recourses provided by our nation’s justice system.

Surrey Vacation Resorts, Inc. ("Surrey") vehemently denies the posting placed by "koonandproud." Surrey takes such false accusations with the utmost concern and attention. Accordingly, notice is hereby provided that Surrey will be seeking discovery from Ripoff Report to ascertain the identity of "koonandproud" so as to protect and defend against such baseless allegations. Such discovery shall be served in connection with the following civil action filed in the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, State of Louisiana: Surrey Vacation Resorts, Inc. d/b/a Grand Crowne Resorts v. John Doe, Case Number: 14-2598. Surrey hereby provides "koonandproud" reasonable notice that he/she may anonymously file and serve a response to the discovery request.
