Complaint Review: Grand Prairie Ford

Grand Prairie Ford Collison center was rude to me and my husband when we had our truck put in for work due to a wreck(not at fault) and will not fix the paint job the screwed up in 2000. They refuse to look in there files for the claim. All the coll. mang. say's is " it your fault" ripoff Grand Prairie Texas

In Feburary of 2007, I was invovled in a auto wreck. Not at fault,her insurance company asked where we would like to get the truck fixed at. My husband wanted Grand Prairie Ford to do it sense that is where he bought the truck. He also had work done to the hood and roof back in 2000 due to hail damage. When he went up there to look at the truck and talk to the collision manger about getting the hood and roof repainted the collision manger told my husband that he had must have put something on it to cause the paint to come off(but the rest of the truck fine, just the hood and roof is missing paint). That upset my husband!

I guy name Abel was the one who orginally started fixing our truck ofter the wreck(Ford had our truck Feb.13-March31), in the middle of this time Abel called my husband and told him the amount the State Farm adjustor wrote down(3,287.00) was not close to the amount it was going to cost to fix the truck. All of the underneath of the bed(axle,brake lines transmission&mounts were damaged. She hit me (I was truning left)going 35 to 40mph. She turned my truck a F150 extended cab with a lift kit completely around the opposite direction, she was in a little Honda Civic. Her car went under neath the left side missing the tire 2".

A couple of days later my husband called to speak to Abel and see if he was able to get aholt of State Farm, they had told him Able no longer worked there. He had got into it with the manger of the collision center and quit in the middle of the day, after that we had hell getting our truck fixed right.

When the Collision Manger called and said our truck was ready to be picked up my husband and a friend went up there before he could even close the door they were wanting him to sign some paperwork, he told them he was't sighning anything until he looked at he truck. He got underneath the truck and the leafspring on the right side was still cracked and bent, the truck was not in alignment either. He refused to pick up the truck until it was fixed right. The collison manger told him that the truck was hit on the left so there for that was the only side he was fixing. That when I was hit she couldn't have damaged the rightside. Like hell she didn't.

My husband told him B.S. and when you get hit by someone going 35-40 you d**n sure could damage the otherside. The Collision Manger is a complete jerk and don't want to take responsabilty for any of the work that goes wrong. I am still fighting the on the paint job claim and now my brakes a squeaking like crazy. If we wouldn't have taken such good care of the truck and did all the prevantance work on the truck to make it last longer, this wouldn't be such a big deal, but we kept the truck in good shape, and took good care of it.

When the collision manger tells you it is your fault that the paint is coming off and he will only fix what State Farm says it really pisses me off. We chose them because we thought they would fix everything that was wrong with it because of the wreck, not only what State Farm adjuster wrote down(which didn't even look underneath). State Farm even told Ford to fix what ever damage is client caused.

I guess that was to much for the collision manger to handle. If you ever get any work done there make sure you keep every piece of paper they give you. It might be warrented for life, but it will take that long to get them to do anything other than to blame it on you.
