I have been shopping for a truck for the past 6 months. Last week, I found a used truck at Grand Prairie Ford. I has $2000 cash + $2500 rebate + trade to put towards the truck. The finance department instructed me to select a 2002 truck for $25K to finance. I searched until I selected a truck. The finance dept told me to go get my truck title, pay stub, etc...and they would get the truck ready. I hadn't test drove the truck. It took 6 hrs for the paperwork to be processed. While we were waiting outside, we were informed that the VIN was incorrect on the papers. We went back inside for another hour, I signed all the papers again.

Over the weekend, I put $700 in accessories on my truck. Over the period of having the truck, the mileage went from 19 to 670. I work out of my truck.

This week, Grand Prairie Ford called me and told me to bring the truck back. Financing wouldn't finance for the amount, the amount I was instructed to pick out. My grandmother went in to cosign, but her credit wasn't strong enough. The finance company would lend $15K for the purchase of a truck. The finance manager called me after she left and informed me he was keeping my down payment. The mileage put on the truck would be deducted from my money, as well. I not only would lose my initial down payment, but I lost the money I put in accessories. And, I can't purchase another truck because I have no down payment for 10 days, when Grand Prairie Ford gives me a check minus all the deductions they want out of it.

My truck is my livelihood. I needed a truck for work, which is why I approached Grand Prairie Ford in regards to the used truck I did test drive for 15K. Now, I am told to find a truck for the price that I originally set out to spend. But I don't have the down payment to purchase now.

The finance manager was rude and yelling at me on the phone, while I was in a meeting with an inspector on a job I had just finished. If you're are purchasing, all the staff is polite. They are rude and disrespectful afterwards. None of this is my fault, but I've been ripped off.
