Complaint Review: Grand Slam Events - Liberty Events

Grand Slam Event and Liberty Events is a SCAM! You do not want to be involved with this group, they try to pass themselves off as a group that does good for the community ("helps the kids"). They label the position as an Event Coordinator and describe the position to be direct marketing for non-profit organizations which is not at all what they do. Grand Slam and Liberty Events pose as though they are "helping the kids" by supporting our D.A.R.E. programs in our communities. I had spoke to a police officer who runs the D.A.R.E. program in Montgomery Co. and he had told me that in his life time of running the program he has never received a single cent from this group and does not expect to.

This group buys overstocked D.A.R.E. products and sells them off for their own profits and tries to explain that in buying these products you will be "helping the kids".

Unfortunately I wasn't sure it was a scam until they took me to an "event" which was a card table set up in a super store where they were soliciting customers, and try to ask them for charity, for an organization that does not deliver the charity. Upon my arrival to the "event" I had no idea what to expect, and once I saw what actually goes on I wanted out. Unfortunately it was too late, the Assistant Manager would not take me back to my vehicle and I was stuck in this store until 6 pm with no ride and no idea where I was. This is a terrible thing to do to someone, they should be ashamed of themselves for practically trapping an innocent bystandard into their schemes.
