My husband and I attended a two hour sales pitch on a vacation plan. We bought it as it sounded very much like what we wanted. We paid with it by our credit cards. When we got back to the hotel and began looking through it it had not been presented as it was written in the books we were given.

We sent it back, after I called them and told them we were sending it back. We bought this on the 22nd of May and returned the package with a letter in the package stating why we didn't want it.

The company would not accept it as I had put American Vacations Outfitters on the first line and i had the right address and town and state on it. Their complaint is that they are not conected to American Outfitters Vacations even tho the letter we received from that company states we have to attend a two hour sales presentation.

When I called the company on the 23rd to tell them we didn't want the package the lady who answered was very friendly until I told her that and then her voice changed. They knew the package was being returned and who was returning it.Someone wrote on the package Grand Vacations and then crossed it out. It was returned back to us in Florida on the 4th of June.

The postmaster told our daughter that they should have accepted the package as the address was right even tho the companies name was wrong. We have had our credit company working on this for us but they say they go with the merchant even tho we were told by the credit company to return the package again which we did and the company would not accept it and the postoffice returned it back to us again. I don't think they had any plan of accepting it at all.

The money we charged on our credit cards was $4793.00 We believe we should get all of the money back as we did comply with the companies rules and regulations.

My husbands credit card has not returned anything in writing about this and have not charged the money to his account, but my credit card has stating they tried everything in our foavor but did not suceed. This does not seem fair to us and I think this company should be put out of business. I wrote chamber of commerce in Branson and told them of our dilemma and they answered stating that grand vacations was not a member of their chamber.
