Complaint Review: Grand Vision

Grand Vision I paid for eye exam and contacts but after after two months I did not receive contacts. No eye exam refund offered. Ripoff Katy Texas

In late May, I had an eye exam to be fitted for a hard contact (I only wear one). The contact cost $250. The doctor said the contact would arrive in one week.

Though I continued to inquire about the status of the order, 4 weeks later I receive a call from the doctor saying the contact arrived. When I tried on the contact, it made my vision worse. The doctor said he would have the correct contact in one week. 4 weeks later the contact still had not arrived.

I called the office to let them know I would be using another doctor and to cancel the order. I received a refund on the contact but the office manager would not refund the money for the eye exam ($150). I asked to speak to the doctor but she told me he was busy and she would have him call me later that day. Now, 2-3 weeks later, I still have not heard from anyone in the doctor's office. I subsequently went to another doctor and received the contact for $59.

After reading the suspicious rebuttals defending this doctor, it is obvious it is written by the same person, may be the doctor himself or his office manager. I will never use this place anymore. It is obvious they cheat their customers and I do not care how much you donate ( tax deduction) to the city of katy.They cheat on their customers they are the reason why our health system in this country going banckrupt.

They should be sued, bunch of liars !!!

I read your Rip off and I had a simular experience with this place.  Unfortunately I think they are posting Good reports on themselves falsely here, but it is very obvious.  Especially since NO ONE would write about their community support.  If they want to support the community, they need to be above board in their business and quit being greedy and unethical.  I will make sure I tell all my friends in the area to stay clear from this business, unless you have money to BURN !!!

My whole family has been happy and satified patients at Grand Vision for years.  We think they are wonderful and have never had any problem at all there.  The doctors are cutting edge in knowlege, eye testing and products.  They are warm, personable and caring.  They support the community in a big way.  It saddens me to read these negative comments against them and it's hard to believe it's true as we have had only great experiences.

So sorry you had a bad experience. I find this hard to believe as our family of four has all gone to Grand Vision for more than three years and have had the best possible experiences. All staff are very courteous, professional, efficient, and all items have been delivered as promised. Prices on glasses and contacts are very reasonable and competitive (beating Sam's Warehouse in some cases).

For our vision correction, their services have been above and beyond what we expected. They offered my husband cutting edge technology on previously hard-to-fit tri-focals. For me, they did away with the need for reading glasses, which had been a struggle for years before visiting them, thanks to their fitting me in a better prescription and brand of bifocal contacts. It was a truly a miracle for me.

Also, both Drs. Donaldson are the nicest people you could ever want to meet. They truly support Katy schools, atheletic, and the fine arts. They give back to the community in ways that are admirable. For all these reasons, I find it hard to believe that there was such a problem as outlined in the complaint. I feel there must have been more to the story, or the person listed the wrong vision care organization as there are others in Katy who use the word "Vision" in their names.
