RUDE EMPLOYEES Over priced ripoff sale. My husband and i were shopping at Grandpa's when I found a bracelet I wanted to see. I asked at the front desk if someone could open the case for me and was told it would be a long wait because "she's helping someone."
I went back to wait and after a few minutes a clerk came, keys in hand and said "I can't help you. I'm busy and we're closing in ten minutes." She turned to leave and I asked "You mean you won't show it to me?" Which got "No" and no additional response. I really wanted the bracelet and told her i was gping to buy it. She charged me $50 more than the price !!! I had no idea about this until I got home and I immediately called her. After three weeks and so many calls and lies that she was sick, on vacation, I finally talked to Linda and she said it was not a mistake.
She charged me the additional money because she was closing it was a big trouble to assist me. Since then I have had another antique shop look at the bracelet and it is a fake!
The legitimate antique shop told me that grandpas is known for having very rude and fake antiques for sale. The real antique said that they will have good bracelets in the counter and you try them on then they switch rhem with fakes! They said that so many of the booth owners complain about stolen merchandis and bounces checks from Craig and Linda that they are being investigated by police.
SAVE your hard earned money. Stay away from grandpas and Craig and Linda majewski!
And, as a customer, I am outraged! It is over an hour drive there from Costa Mesa, so I won't return tomorrow. Maybe NEVER! If you know the owner of booth 16, be sure to pass this along!

Grandpa's Antique Depot Threatened and Slandered by 7 Day Web Design
#2REBUTTAL Owner of company
Sun, December 18, 2011
Phoney, Made-Up, Slanderous Review I believe was placed by an Unreasonable, Vengeful,
ex-contractor: 7 Day Web Design, Temecula, California, designer: Matthew Burlile, who mistakenly thought I left him a bad review here and when I told him I didn't he still demanded I remove it and got belligerent and threatening....
First, let me say this site brags that they don't "copy other sites reviews to place here and then
charge the merchant thousands of dollars to remove" Well that is exactly what this review is, an
old review copied from Google using the original reviewer's Name and City without prior consent
or knowledge, BUT with a lot of made-up, Slanderous, Defaming and possibly illegal claims added in.
Though this site or it's owner did not do the deed, they evidently condone such behavior by allowing it! They charge $2,000 to "Arbitrate" or recommend we can sue the author.
Of course to save a lawsuit, Mr. Burlile could "resolve" the matter by finding "he may have been mistaken about claims." (somewhere on this site it gives a format to do this).
Author, please be advised and take notice, should I sue I would first supeonea the site for original author identity. It is difficult, probably costly, but since I would win any resulting lawsuit the cost would be passed on to you in the end. You can also see elsewhere on the site that it IS POSSIBLE with such a court order to reveal your true identity. We are also in the process of contacting the person who wrote the bad review about you and your company, Non Peaceful
Marine-Murrieta.
That said: to the Ridiculous claims in the Review:
I repeat, Ridiculous. Supposedly, me or someone representing my company, overcharged a customer $50.00 for "The Inconvience" and openly admitted to such nonsence!
Silly!!!
THEN you take the bracelet to someone?? and it is declared a Fake. If it was fake why didn't you complain about that??
And equally as false and Ridiculous is the statement: Our company "switches" one of a kind items. With what?? From a front display case/counter we don't and never did have??
We're not Walmart with hundreds of the same items that all look alike. Our Merchandise is provided by Individual Dealers and chances are if we had a bracelet offered for sale there would not be another just like it within 100 miles let alone bunches in some non-existant case.
Ignorant!
And the junk made up about unhappy dealers and the police, hope you can prove that in court. I CAN prove it is NOT true.
Anyone with any common sence can see the accusations here are made-up, hatefull, malicious and slanderous. Not just about a business, but PERSONAL, against me, my husband, our daughter, who has never even worked at our business! Done in a format to appear in Search Engines, done to cause harm!
Grandpa's Anitque Depot is an 11,000 square foot mall with 100+ cases and booths. We sell Antiques and Collectibles provided by our Independant Dealers. We have been in business for 9 years in the same location. We occationally get complaints, all business's do, but we are proud of the fact that there aren't many and we try to maintain high standards.
I will state again to Matthew Burlile, 7 Day Web Design, I was unhappy with your work, but I did not, nor did my new web designer, write a bad review here. What happens next is in your hands.
