Grant Finder Pro falsly conned me out of my credit info for a one time charge of $2.95 for a CD Then tried to charge me 30.00 a month for a service charge and i did not recieve any service and did authorize any further chages to my account past the $2.95 Internet

a lady that did not speak very good english called me to inform me about some grant money i was eligable to recieve. all i had to pay was a $2.95 S & H charge for a free CD and i would recieve a 50.00 gas card that was mine to keep no matter what i did with the C.D. Well i recieved the cd but not the gas card and so far it has cost me an additional $30.00 monthly charge that i did not authorize them to take.

now i am going to have to pay for a stop payment to my financial instiution that will probably cost 20-30 bucks more and i am gonna have to monitor my account for awhile in case they try to get more cash. also the same woman has tried called me three more times using different names saying that she is from different grant providers. when i have called her on this she insists that she is a different person from a different company .

now i may have been born at night but not last night, this is the same person. that is when i started to get suspicios and then i found the rip off site that was displaying other complaints about this site and the ph# is the same also now i want my cash back and i want these people punished for this.

They do not stop. This was a different lady, but THE SAME PHONE NUMBER.
I have even resorted to saving their phone number as "SCAM-DON'T ANSWER". And apparently, after warning a few of my friends (all graduating in June), they too had received phone calls from this so-called company.

As soon as she mentioned "US Grant Program" and i had recognized the number, i started to say, "no you already called me and i know its a scam so stop calling,"
she slammed the phone down as soon as i said "already."

I wish someone would stop them so students wouldn't have to fear applying for a REAL grant and getting a REAL return call.

I just received the SAME phone call, the lady gave ME most of MY information.
Luckily im not an idiot, so when she told me i qualified for 5k to 1mil in Education grants (hah, picking on all the graduating seniors) i was naturally suspicious.

Yeah. The US Government giving 1mil to 18 year olds. Pretty Sketchy.

Even after i asked multiple times, she never would "fully" explain what i was getting in the mail.

I apparently pissed the lady off when i put her on hold, Googling "Grantfinder.com" (A website i have NEVER seen nor entered anything into). She yelled into the phone when i answered, (having already seen some reports here) and i proceeded to tell her nicely, that i was uncomfortable giving a scam artist my credit card information for something i didnt fully understand involving a website i "supposedly" entered info into.

She then proceeded to tell me that my credit card information was ONLY used to identification purposes (but didnt she just tell me they were charging 2.95 S&H?)

By this time, she had become rude and i was tempted to straight out ask her who she thought the idiot was, me or her but decided against it.

After refusing to give her my information, i received a "fine" and she slammed the phone down.

I was told my conversation was being recorded for MY benefit and if i would like i could have a copy sent to me as well. After reading some of the other reports here, it seems that "the recordings are for their records, not for the consumer" so therefore, i would have no proof of the transaction.

It was never mentioned in this conversation about a trial or any subscription but i dont doubt my card would have been charged more than what i was given.

What further upsets me is that i have never laid eyes on this website till today. I have never ordered anything from them, and cannot understand why she kept repeating "I am only returning your call". I had never called her.

Although i was not taken fully victim, i sympathize with those who were and strongly hope you get your money back. I would love to see these scam artists taken down, scamming those who obviously (if they're interested in grants) need all the money they have, as well as hopeful for outside help.

Good luck,
JMM

Nothing comes for free. They get your credit card information/bank card they charge it. First of all never give anyone your bank card/credit card information. Second , if they don't speak english , ask to speak to someone who does. Not that this will help. I am still having problems with an HP comp that was given as a gift. Its a pos. Every time I called for support the people were so hard to understand it was pathetic. Grants are scams for the most part. Haven't any of us learned this by now? Anything for a very small price , well its not for a small price. Dispute the charge. You have 30 days from time of sale to return or refund. Now if its from a different country you are gong to have a very hard time , you may be out the money. Go to the bank cancel your card (if you have anything (bills, ect) coming out let them know and tell them of those charges then cancel the card or open a new account.

Good luck.

But until we all get on one page here these jerks are going to continue to take money and since the economy is the way it is, its not going to get better. Good luck to you.

I order 3 different grant writing softwares for less than 2 dollars each, they are all the same scam. this apparently is a bigtime deal, most of my transactions have weird denotaions, and actually some are bill pay withdrawals. most have Foreign Transfer Fee attatched also, to give you an idea what kind of deal this is. I want to be every part of taking this ring down as i can. this is the crap you see o dateline. Going to the bank in the morning, will see how everything goes.
