Complaint Review: Grant Research LLC

I came across this site advertising "grants for women." Grants Research site misrepresented the item I was purchasing. I thought that I was ordering an online copy of available grants for a shipping cost of $1.95 on 5/28/08; however, on June 4th, 2008 a charge of $49.95 showed up on my credit card. There practices are unethical. Furthermore, the site is a bunch of crap! They list out a bunch of grants that the normal consumer could locate on government sites such as Grants.Gov, ect. Most of the links did not work in the program. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I called and they absolutely refused to refund my money. I explained to them that I stupidly did my research after this incident and found multiple complaints about their company. I informed the customer service rep that I would take this action further and report them to appropriate authorities. She stated, "that is fine and if I had read the Terms and Conditions I would have seen that I was supposed to call and cancel before the 7 day trial period ended." I informed her that I ordered an online copy for only $1.95 and I READ EVERYTHING and I did not see any information regarding $49.95 monthly charges. Are you nuts? I would have never agreed to that. It is shameful, especially since I found their advertisement on a government page listing resources for Native American Females. Something should be done given the amount of reports filed on this company. Class action? I
